The Coach House Motel is happily situated on 7 acres of private property and is adjacent to vast acres of Crown Land wilderness. While staying with us you will marvel at the wildlife; see moose, deer, river otters, foxes, loons and eagles in their natural, undisturbed habitat. Enjoy the bounty of nature in a variety of seasons while vacationing amid magnificent scenery, lakes, mountains, flowers, and hiking trails. And for swimming, be sure to visit Terry Fox Beach on Jackfish Lake just across the road. As you will see, we are more than just your ordinary road side motel on
Lake Superior's magnificent north shore.
In 2006 The Coach House Motel reopened for business under new ownership. Renovations are under way for a major transformation of management and facilities. Renovations are already complete in our freshly redesigned lobby and private restaurant, The Wilderness Cafe. Exterior renovations are nearly complete, bringing a fresh look to our motel building. Ongoing renovations of our hiking trails and guest rooms is currently underway in order to bring you a cozy nature theme environment to retire in after a long day of adventure.

Are your pets traveling with you? Not a problem at The Coach House Motel! We are pet friendly, however, please let our staff know in advance if you plan on bringing a furry companion.
The Coach House Motel and The Wilderness Cafe accepts Master Card, Visa, and Diners Club credit cards, Canadian debit cards, Canadian Currency and American Currency only. Sorry, no personal checks or travelers checks.
Because we are a family run business, we care about your needs and are committed to providing you with those personal touches that will set The Coach House Motel apart from other run-of-the-mill motels.
For our guests enjoyment we offer well groomed trails and easy access to Jackfish Lake and Sawmill Lake. Many other nature and high adventure activities are within easy distance of The Coach House and our friendly staff is happy to help provide you with tips on all the best tourism sites.
When you return to your rooms you will be pleased to find that our guest rooms are meticulously maintained and cleaned and conveniently appointed with a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. We also offer free wireless internet and cable television so you can keep in touch with the world beyond our cozy retreat.
While staying with us, be sure to visit The Wilderness Cafe! Our private restaurant serves breakfast and dinner to The Coach House Motel guests only, so you never have to get in the car and drive to get delicious homestyle food and excellent service.

Looking for a great place to stay?
The Coach House Motel has highly competitive daily rates that did not increase in 2008; and the lower tax rates for this year make traveling more economical than before. We are happy to work with work crews or large tour groups, and welcome canoeists, kayakers, and other high adventure tour groups. Please contact us for a price quote and to make a reservation!
